Richard H. Bergman, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Miami by earning a Bachelor of Business Degree with a major in finance.   He received his Juris Doctor degree in 1973 from the University of Miami School of Law and has been a member in good standing of the Florida Bar since October, 1973. In 1994 he was selected for membership in the National Directory of Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals.  Since 1997, he has been designated as an “AV” rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell which is the highest possible peer rating in legal ability and ethical standards. He is admitted to practice before the:
 

• United States Supreme Court

• United States Tax Court

• United States Court of Appeals (11th Circuit)

• United States District Court (Florida Southern and Middle, Western District of Michigan and Northern District of Ohio)  

 

Mr. Bergman has been admitted on a pro hac vice basis in multiple Federal Jurisdictions across the country.  Since 2006, Mr. Bergman has been certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.   

 

Mr. Bergman is a recognized title agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company as well as First American Title Insurance Company.  He has documented and closed well over $1 billion in real estate transactions of all types.  He has also documented and closed corporate loan transactions, including car dealership floor plans, revolving lines of credit and borrowing based asset loans aggregating more than $300 million.

He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Shepard Broad Law Center of Nova Southeastern University.
